Call me boring, but I will forever be a simple, neutral gel manicure girly.
Neutral/nude gel nails just speak to me. I find them to be so elegant and timeless.
They go with every outfit, I don’t have to think so hard about what I want at the salon, and neutrals still allow room for trying new designs, styles, and shades.

I’ll be updating this list each month in 2025 to share my monthly manicures!
I’m also going to be sharing some of my favorite neutral gel manicures from 2024 that I’ll definitely be repeating in 2025.
I’ll try to leave as many details as possible, but sometimes the colors are nameless ones from random brands at the salon. I’ll do my best to get the nail colors going forward though.

Neutral Gel Nails We’re Loving in 2025
“Put it in Neutral” by OPI
Is any neutral gel manicure list really complete without OPI’s “Put it in Neutral”? It’s getting my number one spot as of right now because, well I mean look at it!
“Put it in Neutral” is such a perfect, classic, pinky but not too pink, neutral/nude.
OPI’s website describes “Put it in Neutral” as a “soft beige pink nail polish shade. The perfect neutral for subtle manicures, this shade can take the wheel.”
I love that this shade is not as pink as OPI’s “Bubble Bath” and that it’s slightly sheer. So when it goes onto my nail, it almost gives it a french manicure effect because you can see the tips of my nails peeking through.
Honestly, this might be the nail color I wear on my wedding day!
Tortoise Shell Nails
Tortoise shell nails were a major trend in Fall 2024, but I can see them sticking around for a while.
They offer something new to the neutral-loving girlies—a dark neutral!
When you think “neutral” and “nude” manicure, your mind probably immediately goes to beige, soft pink, maybe even mauve colors, but what about dark brown?
A tortoise shell manicure is trendy and eye-catching but still looks put-together. It’s a beautiful design that you don’t see every day.
It’s a fun, modern way of bringing in a pattern based on a classic, “vintage” print/texture (tortoise shell glasses) into an unexpected medium such as nail art.
If you’re a neutral nail girly who’s looking for something different to try, a tortoise shell manicure might be what you’re looking for!
“Bare My Soul” by OPI
As I’m writing this, I’m wondering if I should have put OPI’s “Bare My Soul” in my number one spot…
“Bare My Soul” as OPI’s website describes, is a “barely there nude [that] is the perfect base. A mani marriage made in heaven for sheer, natural nails.”
Compared to “Put it in Neutral”, it has less pink and has more of a beige, almost tan/brown tone. Still very neutral though and very sheer though. You could do 2 coats for a sheer look or 3 for a more opaque look.
Another absolutely gorgeous and timeless color by OPI.
